Pro tips for a smooth first start-up — hand them to whoever does the install:

• Front Axle Pass-Through: Must pull front CV axle and slide intermediate shaft completely out of the oil pan before lifting engine to avoid cracking the pan.
• Torque-to-Yield (TTY) Crankshaft Damper Bolt: Must never be reused. Always replace with a new bolt.
• Delicate Oil Cooler Torque: Torque mounting bolts to exactly 106 in-lbs (9 ft-lbs) in sequence to avoid cracking the plastic housing.
• Magnetic Timing Wheels: Highly sensitive to magnetic fields; keep away from magnetic tools.
• Interference Engine: Do not rotate crankshaft or camshafts independently while timing chains are off.
• Camshaft Cap Torque: Camshaft bearing caps have a very low torque spec (approx. 84 in-lbs).
• AWD Components: Ensure intermediate shaft, brackets, and seals are clean and properly torqued.
