• Torque Converter Seating: Ensure the torque converter is fully pushed back and engaged onto the transmission input shaft and inner oil pump gears before bolting the transmission to the engine. If not fully seated, tightening the bellhousing bolts will instantly crush and crack the internal oil pump gears.
• Strict Temperature-Based Fluid Level Check: The fluid level must be checked via a fill plug on the side of the case while the engine is running and the transmission fluid is within a specific temperature range of 50°C (122°F) to 60°C (140°F).
• Bellhousing Alignment Dowels: Double-check that both engine-to-transmission alignment dowel pins are present in the engine block.
• One-Time Use Fasteners: The bolts securing the transmission mounting bracket to the transmission case (Mopar P/N 06511385AA) are torque-to-yield and must be replaced.
