Immobilizer system re-initialization is also highly likely to be required.

Pro tips for a smooth first start-up — hand them to whoever does the install:

• The Spark Plug Torque Trap: The aluminum casting around the spark plug threads is incredibly thin. Over-tightening will crack the cylinder head, allowing coolant to leak into the combustion chamber. Always torque to exactly 14 ft-lbs (19.6 N-m).
• High-Pressure Fuel System Safety: Relieve fuel system pressure before disconnecting lines. Never reuse high-pressure fuel pipe O-rings or injector seals.
• AWD vs. FWD Oil Pan and Bracket Transfer: If swapping between AWD and FWD models, you must transfer your original oil pan, accessory brackets, and intermediate shaft brackets to accommodate the AWD transfer case (PTU).
• Fragile Aluminum Components: Extreme care must be taken not to over-torque bolts. Cylinder head bolts are torque-to-yield, single-use, and must be replaced if removed.
• Priming the Oil System: Before the first start, pre-fill the oil filter and disable fuel/ignition to crank the engine for several seconds to build oil pressure and avoid a dry start.
