- Torque Converter Seating: Ensure the torque converter is fully seated and indexed (typically three distinct clicks) before bolting the transmission to the engine to avoid cracking the oil pump rotor.
- AWD PTU Spline Greasing: Clean, inspect, and grease the mating splines with high-temperature heavy-duty spline grease when mating the PTU.
- Fluid Level Check Temperature: Check fluid level through the side check port using special tool 10323A only when fluid temperature is between 122°F and 140°F (50°C to 60°C) as monitored via scan tool.
- Subframe Removal: The entire front subframe must be dropped to remove the transmission, requiring engine support from above.
