- Photograph Strategy Tag: Take a clear photo of the white barcode tag on top of the case before installation, as it is impossible to see once installed and is required for programming.
- Fluid Level Checking: Must be checked via the dipstick/fill plug with the fluid strictly between 180°F and 200°F (82°C to 93°C) while the engine is idling on a level surface after cycling through all gears.
- Mandatory Cooler Flush: Debris from the previous transmission failure must be completely flushed out of the cooler lines to prevent immediate contamination of the replacement unit.
