- Torque converter must be fully seated (three distinct clicks/drops) before bolting transmission to engine to avoid cracking the front oil pump.
- Fluid level check is highly temperature-sensitive and must be performed with the engine running in Park, vehicle level, and fluid temperature strictly between 35°C and 45°C (95°F to 113°F).
- Structural subframe, mount, and axle bolts are one-time-use aluminum stretch bolts and must be replaced.
- Ensure alignment dowel pins on the back of the engine block are present and undamaged to prevent input shaft bearing wear.
