The 13-digit Solenoid Body Strategy code and 8-digit Solenoid Body ID from the tag on the new transmission case must be programmed into the vehicle's computer. Additionally, adaptive tables must be cleared and a multi-step Adaptive Learning Drive Cycle must be performed.

Pro tips for a smooth first start-up — hand them to whoever does the install:

• Solenoid Body Strategy Programming must be completed to prevent immediate clutch damage.
• Torque converter must be fully seated (three distinct clicks/drops) to avoid cracking the high-pressure oil pump.
• Transmission cooler lines must be thoroughly backflushed to clear debris from the failed unit.
• Ensure both alignment dowel pins are present in the engine block before mating.
• Fluid level check procedure is highly sensitive and must be done at specific operating temperatures (195-215°F) with the engine running.
