- Torque Converter Seating: Ensure the torque converter is fully pushed back and seated onto the input shaft and front pump gears (multiple clicks) before mating to the engine. Failure to do so will crack the oil pump gears upon bolting, destroying the unit.
- Protect and Scan the QR Code: Take a clear, high-resolution photograph of the paper QR code sticker on the range switch before installation. It is required for programming and is extremely difficult to access once the transmission is installed.
- Precise Fluid Level Check: There is no dipstick. The fluid level must be checked via the overflow plug on the bottom of the pan only when the transmission fluid temperature is strictly between 95°F and 113°F (35°C to 45°C) with the engine idling.
